First Thought When You Wake Up?
Where is the snooze button? I am definitely a morning person, but it takes a moment… or nine minutes… twice… for me to convince myself that anything i may accomplish could ever come close to my big comfy bed.
The very first thing i do in the morning is oil pulling with sesame oil, then i brush my teeth and scrape my tongue. I drink 8-16 oz of water, sit still for a bit and read a chapter or two of one of my favorite authors. Marianne Williamson is my favorite in the morning.
I teach yoga because it has given me so much and I am forever grateful. More than what yoga has given me is what yoga has taken away. Yoga has alleviated so many pain points for me. I have been able to leg go of many fears, anger, resentments and attachments. I vowed during my first teacher training it would be my life’s work to share this practice until all people can see the benevolence of a consistent yoga practice.
